Project Goods

Hvide Sande Port offers optimal conditions for handling project goods – large, heavy, or complex units that require special conditions, flexible solutions, and specialized infrastructure. We have both the experience and capacity to ensure efficient reception, storage, and onward transport of everything from wind turbine parts and transformers to modular construction and steel constructions.

Strong infrastructure for heavy lifting

With berths capable of handling a flat load of up to 10 tons/m² and point loads of up to 80 tons/m², Hvide Sande Port is equipped to receive even the most demanding cargoes. Additionally, there is up to 20,000 m² of storage area within the ISPS-fenced area with a flat load capacity of 18 tons/m², as well as an adjacent storage area of 35,000 m² with direct access to the quay.

We offer a range of logistical advantages that make project goods handling simple and cost-effective:

  • No port charges for using our cranes
  • No stevedoring obligation
  • Ro/Ro operations in 'Mediterranean style' are allowed
  • No air draft restrictions in the port area
  • 24/7 loading and unloading available
  • Easy access via a wide transport corridor to Central Jutland (+11 m width / 13 m height)
