WELCOME DEAR GUEST SAILOR

As a guest in the Port of Hvide Sande, you will experience an open and active port. There are opportunities to get close to port activities, to see the fishing vessels unloading for auction and to watch loading and unloading activities.

We are happy to show you around the port. So as a guest, you can expect us to inform you about the activities and services that are relevant to you.

You will find our floating jetties for guest sailors in Sydhavn immediately to starboard as you enter the port. During the summer season we have two floating jetties dedicated to guest sailors.

The moorings are just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Hvide Sande, and you have unique access to everything that makes Hvide Sande a popular tourist and holiday destination.

In Hvide Sande you will find enticing shops and popular cafés. The child-friendly and beautiful beach, Sydstrand, is only just a few minutes walk away.

SERVICE FACILITIES FOR YACHTSMEN

As a guest sailor, you have free access to the well-being building, which is located in connection with the floating jetties. A lounge, showers and a laundry are available. There is also a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer. The facilities are available to all guests.

MOORINGS IN FJORDHAVN

If you don't want to stay at Fiskehavn, or if you are just looking for a different experience, you can pass through the lock at the Blåtårn (Blue Tower) to the fjord. Here we offer moorings in Fjordhavn.

NAVIGATION AND CURRENT CONDITIONS

Our sailing and current conditions are not much different from the other ports along the West Coast. However, our port security is always ready to help you if required

HOW OUR POWER POINTS WORK

Activation

1. Select the socket

2. Insert the plug from the boat

3. Turn the on-off switch above the socket

4. The green light on the selected socket will flash

5. Call the number indicated on the stand

6. When the green light flashes steadily, power will be available from the socket

Disconnection

1. Switch off the socket using the on-off switch by the socket

2. Remove the plug

3. The green light will stop flashing/lighting up

INFORMATION FOR YACHTSMEN

There is a toll booth for visiting yachtsmen at the floating jetties. Here you can find out about activities and other relevant information.

Staff at the tourist office are always helpful with information about the many activities in Hvide Sande. The tourist office is on the other side of the sluices by Fiskeriets Hus, just a 10-minute walk from the moorings.

TS-FREEPORT

The Port of Hvide Sande is a TS Freeport. This means that ships that are members of the Træskibs Sammenslutning (Timber Ship Association) can use the free port scheme. In order to use a free berth, your ship must be registered on the TS’ vessel list and carry the TS (maiden) flag. A label stamped with the current year must also be displayed on the front of the foremast.

The aim of the Træskibs Sammenslutning is to promote the preservation of older utility vessels. They want to raise the standards of seamanship, maintenance and safety when using vessels, and to help ensure that vessels are preserved with the greatest possible respect for their cultural and historical value.
