Welcome dear guest sailor

As a guest in the Port of Hvide Sande, you visit an open and active harbor. There is both the opportunity to get close to harbor activities, to see fishing vessels unloading for auction, and to see loading and unloading activities.

We are happy to show off the harbor. Therefore, as a guest, you can expect us to inform you about the activities and services that are relevant to you.

You will find our floating docks for guest sailors in the South Harbor immediately to starboard when you sail into the harbor. In the summer season, we have two floating docks dedicated to guest sailors.

The mooring places are only a few minutes' walk from Hvide Sande center, and you have unique access to everything that makes Hvide Sande a popular tourist and holiday destination.

In Hvide Sande, you will find exciting shops and popular cafés. There is also only a few minutes' walk to the child-friendly and beautiful beach, South Beach.

Service facilities for leisure sailors

As a guest sailor, you have free access to the welfare building, which is located in connection with the floating docks. There are both lounge areas, shower rooms, and laundry rooms. There is also a washing machine and dryer with coin slots. You can freely use the facilities.

Mooring places in the Fjord Harbor

If you do not wish to stay at the Fishing Harbor, or if you are just looking for a different experience, you can go through the lock at Blue Tower to the fjord. Here we offer mooring places in the Fjord Harbor.

Our sailing and current conditions do not differ much from other harbors on the West Coast. However, our harbor duty officer is always ready to assist you if you need it

5. Call the number on the stand

6. When the green light shines steadily, there is power in the plug

Information for leisure sailors

There is a payment system for guest sailors at the floating docks. Here you can get information about activities and other relevant information.

At the tourist office, they are always helpful with information about the many activities in Hvide Sande. You will find the tourist office on the other side of the locks at Fisherman's House, only a 10-minute walk from the boat slips.

TS-Free Port

Port of Hvide Sande is a TS-Free Port. This means that ships that are members of the Træskibs Association can use the free port arrangement. In order to use a free space, your ship must be registered on TS's vessel list and must be flying the TS flag (the virgin flag). A valid annual badge must also be displayed at the front of the front mast.

The purpose of the Træskibs Association is to promote the preservation of older working vessels. They wish to increase the standard of seamanship, maintenance, and safety in the use of the vessels, as well as to ensure that the vessels are preserved with the greatest possible consideration for their cultural and historical value.
