Record turnover at Port of Hvide Sande
The turnover in Hvide Sande continues to rise, and in 2025, a new record was set with nearly 48 million DKK in turnover. Several factors have helped along the way. More of the Harbour's areas than ever before have been leased out, and fishing has also contributed to an increasing turnover. As a result of the rising turnover, the profit has also grown to 7.4 million DKK.
The profit is also necessary, as there is a need to develop the harbour's facilities, as many new tasks are on the way. Therefore, a new quay is currently being built, and areas for the storage of goods are being expanded. Finally, the Harbour also expects to be able to offer a deeper shipping channel during 2026. All of this makes it realistic to believe that turnover will also increase in the coming years, as the new offering of two offshore wind farms provides good opportunities for new tasks for Hvide Sande Harbour, just as growth in leasing of areas is still expected. Finally, a new quay and back area will provide greater activity.
"Hvide Sande is characterized by initiative and positive energy. It also provides many opportunities for the Harbour, which we are doing everything to build on," says Hvide Sande Harbour's chairman, Hans Schneider.
"It is positive that there is good activity in so many different business areas. It testifies that there is a mosaic of opportunities in Hvide Sande," says harbour director Mogens Pedersen.
