Sustainability at Hvide Sande Harbor
Hvide Sande Harbor has a goal of being a sustainable harbor with CO2 neutrality by 2030. At the same time, the harbor aims to lead the local area's sustainable development by investing in the green transition and thereby supporting the green transition of Hvide Sande.
We have therefore replaced 4 cars running on conventional fuel with 2 electric cars and 1 hybrid car. The cars are used on a daily basis for harbor service/harbor watch and therefore make many short trips to tasks around the harbor, where driving on electricity makes a lot of sense.
At the same time as the cars reduce CO2 emissions, they also provide savings in the economy with fewer operational costs. This also reflects the strategy of running a sustainable economic and efficient business. The estimated CO2 savings are expected to be almost 5,000 kg of CO2 per year.
