Sustainability at Hvide Sande Harbor

Hvide Sande Harbor has a goal of being a sustainable harbor with CO2 neutrality by 2030. At the same time, the harbor must lead the local area's sustainable development by investing in the green transition and thereby support the green transition of Hvide Sande.

Therefore, we have replaced 4 cars running on conventional fuel with 2 electric cars and 1 hybrid car. The cars are used in daily operations for harbor services/habor watch and therefore make many short trips to tasks around the harbor, where operating on electricity makes a lot of sense.

At the same time as the cars reduce CO2 emissions, they also provide savings in the economy with lower operating costs. This also reflects the strategy of running a sustainable economic and efficient business. The calculated CO2 savings are expected to be nearly 5,000 kg CO2 per year.
