Conclusion of agreement on the cleaning of the harbor entrance.
In order to optimize the operation of the navigation conditions at Hvide Sande Harbor, Hvide Sande Harbor has just entered into an agreement with the marine contractor Rohde Nielsen regarding the future dredging of the harbor's entrance.
By utilizing, among other things, greater dredging capacity, preventive dredging, and solid backup on the dredging vessels, the agreement ensures that the planned water depth in Hvide Sande Harbor of at least 7 meters moving forward becomes even more stable.
“We have, after a tender for the task, entered into a very good agreement with Rohde Nielsen, which we, due to their extensive experience with dredging, have great confidence in can optimize the dredging task,” states development manager Henning Renita Yde, who has been responsible for Hvide Sande Harbor's navigation conditions for 27 years.
“It has been a difficult decision to outsource the dredging task, which we have since the takeover from the Coastal Directorate in 2014, handled very satisfactorily with the dredging vessel Træl and our own employees. Therefore, the decision-making process has also been very long and thorough,” Henning Renita Yde further states.
Tommy Møller Nielsen, Marketing Manager from Rohde Nielsen states, “We look very much forward to the collaboration with Hvide Sande Harbor regarding the task, which will be solved by several different vessels in our fleet.”
Rohde Nielsen will take over the task on July 1, 2023.
