WELL-FUNCTIONING SHIPYARDS
The Port of Hvide Sande is home to two shipyards, both known for their high quality standards - Hvide Sande Shipyard and Vestværftet.
Hvide Sande Shipyard is primarily engaged in newbuilds of offshore vessels, maintenance of older sailing ships and repairs and maintenance of all types of boats, including fishing cutters. Vestværftet, on the other hand, is particularly well known for its newbuilds and conversions of fishing cutters.
