Port of Hvide Sande is located at the position North Sea 56°00,0'N 8°07,8'E. Sea chart no. 99, 93.
The entrance to Port of Hvide Sande faces directly towards the North Sea and is protected by two jetties. The water depth at the entrance is up to 7 meters at the lighthouse line.

You can navigate the harbor both day and night.
The difference between mean high water and mean low water is 0.6 meters.
The maximum allowed speed in the harbor basins is 3 knots.
The navigation conditions to the harbor are good and stable for most of the year.
The harbor is always ice-free regardless of frost degrees due to the current through the sluice to Ringkøbing Fjord.

Vessels, whose masters are not familiar with the conditions, can take a pilot or beforehand request information from the harbor watch regarding the current conditions before arrival or departure.

Supervision of vessels
Vessels must be equipped with fenders.
If vessels that are not registered in the harbor are left, it must be communicated to the harbor watch who is supervising the vessel.

The depths in the entrance and in the harbor basins may, due to siltation, deviate from our information, the official sea charts, and navigational handbooks' stated depths.
The stated depths will be sought maintained during dredging.
