Port of Hvide Sande is the home port for two shipyards, both known for their high quality – Hvide Sande Shipyard and Vestværftet.

Hvide Sande Shipyard primarily deals with new builds of offshore vessels, maintenance of older sailing ships, as well as repairs and maintenance of all types of boats, including fishing cutters. Vestværftet, on the other hand, is particularly known for its new builds and conversions of fishing cutters.
