As one of Denmark's most modern fishing harbors, Port of Hvide Sande has all the services and facilities you need. The companies at the harbor provide high-quality solutions – across all areas of service for a modern fishing fleet.
We are located close to the North Sea's attractive fishing grounds for commercial, shrimp, and industrial fishing. Our fishing fleet consists of about 40 vessels with a total gross tonnage of approximately 4,000 gt.
Port of Hvide Sande is visited by vessels from all over Denmark. In addition, industrial fishermen and vessels from the surrounding countries in the North Sea are also attracted by our good location and excellent unloading facilities.
The fishmeal factories 999 in Thyborøn and FF Skagen receive the industrial fish we land in Hvide Sande.
Our fishing harbor consists of two sections west of the locks; the South Harbor and the North Harbor. The South Harbor includes Pier 11 and two basins. Pier 11 has been expanded with a quay, with a water depth of 7 meters. The quay can be used for landing commercial fish, among other things. In the North Harbor, a fishing gear terminal has been constructed where it is possible to rent halls for the storage of fishing gear.
East of the locks are our two harbor sections in Ringkøbing Fjord; Østhavnen and Tyskerhaven. The harbor guard services the harbor's users around the clock.
We have two shipyards with slipways, both known for their new buildings and repairs of fishing vessels. You can also find ship supply, machine workshops, and electronics companies specialized in servicing fishing vessels at the harbor. You can also request diving assistance and mobile cranes.
We focus on continuously adapting to the requirements of fishing development. Our top priority is to ensure stable navigation conditions.
We are gradually reinforcing our existing pier constructions to provide greater water depth in the existing basins.
Recently, we have established options for landing commercial fish to the auction hall and bunkering ice from Hvide Sande Ice Factory at pier 20 and 21 in the South Harbor – where we have also expanded with a water depth of 7 meters.
Hvide Sande Harbour is leading the sustainable development of the local area by ensuring coexistence between the harbour and the town. We want to contribute to openness and good communication with all customers and partners.
By investing in the green transition, while the harbour operates an economically, efficient, and socially responsible business that enables investment in the harbour's infrastructure and areas as well as in the development of existing and new business areas.
